There is no artificial substitute for human blood. In an emergency, a mass casualty or when a loved one needs life-saving surgery or cancer treatment, your blood saves the day. Your donation helps us provide most of the Triangle's blood reserves.

Note: The Special Collections department of the Carolinas Blood Service Region of the American Red Cross provides autologous and directed blood collection services at the Raleigh blood collection site. Autologous blood is blood donated by a patient for his/her own use. Directed blood is blood provided by donors who have been specifically requested to donate by the patient.
